4 N.H. meetings

The jumps season is slowly getting into gear, and there are 3 British meetings today and one in Ireland. The best racing comes from Chepstow in Wales, and champion trainer Paul Nicholls fields a strong team here, all partnered by Ruby Walsh. Their best chances are probably ex-French Domtaline in the 3yo hurdle at 15.20 CET and Watamu Bay in the novice chase at 16.25. Escort´men in the limited handicap hurdle at 17.00 also has prospects, but has a big weight, and in our opinion Gullible Gordon in the 3 mile handicap chase at 18.10 is also not well handicapped.

Tony McCoy should be the jockey to follow at Bangor, and can win the novice hurdle at 15.25 with Donald McCain´s Drill Sergeant and also the novice hurdle over a shorter trip at 17.05 with newcomer Barrie Burn, while we also hope that German-bred Backbord (Lucy Wadham/ Leighton Aspell) runs well in the 3 mile handicap chase at 17.40.

The card at Hexham is not so strong, but the maiden hurdle at 17.20 shoudl lie between ex-Irish Bavard Court (Tim Vaughan/ Tom David) and Monogram (Howard Johnson/Timmy Murphy). The latter seems to be a difficult character and ran out last time at Perth, but could still win this.

There are the usual large fields at Fairyhouse in Ireland, but only 8 in the handicap chase at 17.25. Bottom-weight Schindlers Society (James Lambe/ Emett O´Connell) is consistent and looks a solid each-way bet here.
