main supporting feature this afternoon at Newmarket is the Group Two Cherry Hinton Stakes over 6 furlongs for 2yo fillies at 15.35 CET. Richrd Hannon and Richard Hughes can do no wrong at the moment, and they have the obvious favourite here in the unbeaten Memory, who last time finished fast to win the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, with Radharcanfarraige (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) and Hooray (Sir Mark Prescott/ Seb Sanders) not far behind in 4th and 8th respectively in a field of 22. Obviously the commentator is hoping that Bolger´s filly will not get involved, but Memory is a tricky filly who has very slowly away on both her starts so far. In theory she should win again, but the once-raced Tanfeer (Saeed bin Suroor/ Frankie Dettori) and Soraaya (Mick Channon/ Ryan Moore), who both won their maidens in impressive style and are now moving up sharply in class, could also prove dangerous.
The handicaps this afternoon look really difficult, with large fields. Our three against the field in the opening one, for 3yo fillies over 7 furlongs at 14.30 are Maid in Heaven (Walter Swinburn/ Shane Kelly), going for a hat-trick, Miss Zooter (Ralph Beckett/ Jim Crowley), back in distance, and Strictly Dancing (Andrew Balding/ Jimmy Fortune). In the following 6 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s our choices are Kingsgate Choice (John Best/ Kieren Fallon), Deacon Blues (James Fanshawe/ Jamie Spencer) and Robinson Cruso (sic) (Michael Jarvis/ Martin Dwyer), all winners last time out and on the upgrade - but so are most of their 17 opponents
