Feature of Worcester´s N.H. meeting this afternoon is the novice chase over 2 1/2 miles at 15.45, in which ex-German Group One winner Donaldson (Jonjo O´Neill/ Tony McCoy) has a chance of making up for last time´s bad luck, when he fell when going well in the lead. Chasing debutant Warsaw Pact (Philip Hobbs/ Richard Johnson) could be the main danger, although Predateur and Silmi, who beat lesser opposition by 32 lengths last time, cannot be ignored. Only modest racing at Hamilton, where Salerosa (Ann Duffield/ Phillip Makin) can follow up her Ayr win by taking the 9 furlongs handicap at 16.30.
There is racing this evening on turf at Ripon and on the all-weather at Kempton. Several of the top jockeys riding at Royal Ascot travel on to Kempton, where Richard Hughes and Jamie Spencer both have some good rides, and can possibly score with Simon Gray at 20.10 and Silver Symphony half an hour later respectively. At Ripon, German-bred Prince Evelith can win the 9 furlongs handicap at 21.20 after his easy win at York last time.
