PMU race day in Cologne

Cologne, Sunday, 9 July: In cooperation with the French PMU, nine races will be held today in Weidenpescher Park from 10.50 am. The first five tests will be brokered to France.

In the equaliser 1, the Früh Kölsch race (5th race/12.50 h/17,000 Euro/1850 m), all eyes will be on Movin Time (Lukas Delozier) from the stable of Christian von der Recke. After two starts on the sand track in France, the five-year-old is making his comeback under top weight. He will be tested by La Loire (Bayarsaikhan Ganbat), who won in June, and Lightning Jock (Rene Piechulek). Sporting (Vladimir Panov) and Rufolo (Lilli-Marie Engels) are other in-form opponents.

Good horses can also be seen in Remy`s race (4th race/12.20 pm/7,200 Euros/7,200 Euros/Equalisation 3). Here the four-horse bet is offered. Downtown (Rene Piechulek) could make it to the front again after his surprising Maiden triumph in Hamburg, but the opponents are lurking headstrong. Power On (Vladimir Panov), Shano (Esther Ruth Weißmeier), Why`s Whyoming (Liubov Grigorieva) are possible challengers.
