Three-year-olds rehearse at Group 2 level

Paris-Vincennes, Tuesday, May 30: Further sighting tests for the `K` yearling are on the program today in Vincennes. Separated by gender, mares and stallions will be tested at Group 2 level for 120,000 euros each.

In the Ladies in the Prix Ozo (4th race/18.17/2175 m), the nine first-place finishers of the Prix Masina (Group 2) will meet. After Kalamity d`Heripre (Franck Nivard) and Kana de Beylev (Benjamin Rochard) fully lived up to their role as favorites and settled the victory among themselves, they enjoy first call. Behind them lined up Kyrielle (William Bigeon), Ketty Angot (Eric Raffin), Kea Island (Gabriele Gelormini) and Kabaka de Guez (Nicolas Bazire), who can expect again a place in the front. Katchina de Simm (David Thomain) did not come around the course smoothly, but judging by her strong third place in the Prix Gelinotte (Group 2) here in January not far behind Kalamity d`Heripre and Kana de Beylev, the Allaire mare can be expected to do well.

35 minutes later, it`s the turn of the stallions in the Prix Kalmia (5th race/18:52/2175 m). Year`s leader Koctel du Dain (David Thomain) faces again Canada (Theo Duvaldestin), whose series of placings should end soon, as he was already better than the Philippe Allaire-trained stallion in the Prix Paul Viel (Group 2). King Opera (William Bigeon) offered an excellent performance behind the first two in third place and, like the strong-running but difficult Kamehameha (Eric Raffin ), is expected to finish far in front.
