Comeback of Idao de Tillard

Paris-Vincennes, Friday, 26 May: A highly interesting Group 3 race is on the programme today in Vincennes with the Prix Jean Riaud (3rd race/20.15 h/90,000 Euro/2850 m). Addressed are five-year-old and older horses, of which participants have to pay an allowance if they win 950,000 Euros or more.

This only applies to Elie de Beaufour (Jean-Michel Bazire), who recently finished a good fifth in the Prix des Ducs de Normandie (Group 2) behind Hokkaido Jiel (David Thomain). The latter continued his series of top placings in second place and is now in line for victory. Idao de Tillard (Clement Duvaldestin) could spoil this for him. The Severino son was considered a hot candidate for victory in the Prix d`Amérique (Group 1), but failed to win by a canter. After a compulsory win in the Prix Ovide Moulinet (Group 2) and a subsequent `red` form, the five-year-old sat out and makes his comeback. Capital Mail (Gabriele Gelormini) is an old acquaintance in France. The Italian made his mark in last year`s winter meeting in the Prix Ourasie (Group 1) when fifth not far behind Idalo Tillard. Cash Bank Bigi (Franck Nivard) impressed this year in the Prix Bold Eagle (Group 1) in second place. She could win as well as Fire Cracker (Alexandre Abrivard), whose negative streak should end soon.
