18 in the Grand Steeple Chase de Paris

Auteuil, Sunday 21 May: The Grand Steeple Chase de Paris (4th race/16.05 h/900,000 euros/6000 m) rounds off the great double event in Auteuil today. The mega chase race with 18 participants is once again well-balanced and sees numerous contenders for victory at the start.

At the dress rehearsal, Gex (Bertrand Lestrade) convinced in the Prix Murat (Group 2) as the defeater of Metasequoia (Lucas Zuliani), who did not disappoint his supporters despite a clear defeat and now wants to turn the tide in his favour. With the Prix Ingre (Group 3), another sighting test was decided and this one was won surprisingly easily by Poly Grandchamp (Tristan Lemagnen) against Franco de Port (Paul Townend), who had also exceeded expectations and ended ahead of the favoured Spes Militurf (Kilian Dubourg). Carriacou (Gabin Meunier) rehearsed successfully over the easy jumps, easily defeating Gex. Starlet du Mesnil (Angelo Zuliani), Doctor Squeeze (Theo Chevillard), General en Chef (Felix de Giles) and Gessy Raiselle (Rachael Blackmore) did not go wrong in the Prix Murat and can be counted on to surprise, as can Rosario Baron (Johnny Charron), who had three wins in a row.
