Two times Group 3 in Saint-Cloud

Saint-Cloud, Saturday, 1 April: Two Group 3 races will be contested today in Saint-Cloud for 80,000 euros in prize money.

In the Prix Penelope (2nd race/14.33/2100 m), a first sighting test for the Prix de Diane, the eyes are primarily on Pensee du Jour (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev), who celebrated her second victory after Chantilly here in the Prix Rose de Mai (Listed race) and is destined for bigger tasks. Aidan O`Brien sends Library (Christophe Soumillon) and Be Happy (Ryan Moore) from Ireland to France. Both have already won and are an integral part of the betting. Speirling Beag (Maxime Guyon) also travels from the Emerald Isle and was successful last year on a higher level.

In the Prix Edmond Blanc (6th race/17.00 h/80.000 Euro/1600 m) the way to victory leads once again via last year`s winner The Revenant (Tony Piccone). In the dress rehearsal in the Prix Altipan (Listed race), he easily dispatched Anthorus (Maxime Guyon). Angel Bleu (Ryan Moore) travels from England with a fresh place of honour on the all-weather track. The stallion ran last time out before that in the Sussex Stakes (Group 1) and was fifth in the picture. Facteur Cheval (Gerald Mosse), Tribalist (Mickael Barzalona) and Rosacea (Christophe Soumillon) settled the Prix Perth (Group 3) among themselves here.
