Harlem de Bucy the horse to beat

Lyon-Parilly, Wednesday, 12 April: The third round of the provincial Grand National du Trot series (1st race/13.50/90,000 euros/2825 m) stops in Lyon today, where 13 horses from three ribbon divisions will compete. Naturally, the participants from the basic brand can count on the best chances.

Harlem de Bucy (Alexandre Abrivard) was one of the shooting stars of the Paris Winter Meeting. After four wins in a row, he finished not far behind the winner in the Prix de Paris (Group 1). Gaspar d`Angis (Eric Raffin) fully lived up to his role as favourite in the `GNT` stage in Marseille, before that he also won easily in Laval. Howdy Partner (Franck Nivard) opened the Grand National du Trot in Amiens. In the Prix de la Mayenne (Group 3), he did not finish higher than sixth behind Horchestro (David Bekaert), who had previously won the Prix de Rouen (Group 3). Eolien de Chenu (Pierre-Yves Verva) and Fashion Touch (Francois Lagadeuc) are better than their current forms and thanks to a favourable starting position they can be predicted to surprise. From the back, Eberton (Junior Guelpa) and Epsom d`Herfraie (Benjamin Rochard) are to be included in the shortlist.
