Grandeur Nature beatable in the Prix Murat?

Auteuil, Saturday 8 April: Top-class steeplechase racing comes again today from Auteuil, where the Group 2 Prix Murat (7th race/16.07/235,000 euros/4400 m), which is over the chase jumps, takes centre stage.

The only competitor with a fresh winning form is Grandeur Nature (David Gallon). In the Prix Robert de Clermont-Tonnerre (Group 3) he successfully rehearsed for today`s task and easily distanced Metasequoia (Lucas Zuliani) by just under two lengths. Doctor Squeeze (Gabin Meunier) was in the picture in fourth. For Grande Nature it was a successful season debut after finishing second in the Prix la Haye Jousselin (Group 1) ahead of Starlet du Mesnil (Angelo Zuliani) and in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Compiegne (Group 2). For Gex (Bertrand Lestrade), last season ended early after an outstanding honourable mention in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (Group 1). He made a decent but not outstanding comeback here on 11 March. Gessy Raiselle (Johnny Charron) deserves a note as winner of the Grand Steeple-Chase des 4 Ans (Group 1). Starlet du Mesnil rarely returns to the stable without a premium.
