Many form horses in the Prix Montenica

Deauville, Saturday, 11 March: Nine sand track races are on the programme in Deauville today. The focus is on the three-year-olds, who will compete in the Prix Montenica (3rd race/17.52 h/55,000 Euro/1300 m), which is part of the list class.

Five current winners will meet. Swing For Me (Cristian Demuro) and Rising Up (Marvin Grandin) won in pleasing fashion on the Riviera, while Burstow (Alexis Pouchin) and La Galiote (Gerald Mosse) caused a stir here. The Ivy (Christophe Soumillon) triumphed in Chelmsford, England. Doris Schönherr saddled Ciao Pa` (Pierre Bazire), who came second in Chantilly, with good chances. Glorious Angel (Ioritz Mendizabal), who won three times in a row in England this year, also looks interesting. Alvina (Hugo Journiac), Shalromy (Maxime Guyon) and Lady Bullet (Tony Piccone) are making their seasonal debut, they showed some nice attempts last year.
