Derby yearling in Saint-Cloud

Saint-Cloud, Tuesday, 28 March: Three-year-olds are the focus of the eight-race event at Saint-Cloud today.

The stallions/geldings will contest the Prix Comrade (2nd race/14.25/28,000 Euro/1600 m). Valimi (Cristian Demuro), trained by Jean-Claude Rouget for the Aga Khan, makes his comeback after his impressive victory in Deauville. Book Of Life (Mickael Barzalona) was also successful at the same venue. Like Halfway Line (Tony Piccone), who performed well in Chantilly, he also starts the season with first chances. Cognac (Christophe Soumillon) is recommended by his fifth place in the 300,000 Euro Critérium Arqana.

In the mares` Prix Kizil Kourgan (3rd race/15.00 h/28,000 Euro/1600 m) the way to victory leads through Algolia (Maxime Guyon), trained by Andre Fabre. The Lope-de-Vega daughter, who runs for Wertheimer, won on the sand track in Chantilly in the manner of a better horse. Snowpark (Cristian Demuro), Perfetto (Mickael Barzalona) and Prija (Aurelien Lemaitre) were just as convincing in their successes and, like Lady Frasquita (Tony Piccone), who is a model of reliability, are in question for the top places.
