Listed race in Pau

Pau, Saturday, 7 January: The steeplechase season at the Hippodrome in Pau is in full swing. One of the highlights is on the programme today with the Prix Bernard de Dufau (3rd race/13.00 h/66,000 Euro/4700 m). The Listed race leads over the hunter jumps and sees some participants again who were under order here on 18 December in the Prix Château de Pau (Classe 1). The match was easily secured by Youtwo Glass (James Reveley) against Spanish One (Geoffrey Re), who again finished clear ahead of Metasequoia (Lucas Zuliani) in third. La Danza (Clement Lefebvre), who recently surprised with her second place in the Prix Andre Michel (Group 3) over hurdles, could join the new three-way battle. She also took silver in the Prix des Drags (Group 2), was beaten for the win late on. Doctor Squeeze (Theo Chevillard) continued his streak of third places in the Prix Georges Cortois (Group 2) seamlessly and is aiming for a similar result again. Gardon`s Le Sourire (Alain de Chitray) rarely disappoints and is in contention for a top finish ahead of Hades (Pierre-Alfred Grondin).
