Grand National du Trot in Nantes

Nantes, Wednesday 9 November: The penultimate leg of the Grand National du Trot (2nd race/13.55 h/90,000 Euro/3000 m) will be decided today in Nantes. On 4 December, the grand final, the `Clôture du National du Trot`, will take place in Vincennes.

Jean-Michel Bazire provides the two most profitable participants, but he himself is conspicuous by his absence. Feydeau Seven (Louis Baudron) and Hooker Berry (Fabien Gence) stand out by class, but have to make up to 50 metres allowance, which clearly reduces their chances. For the third Bazire starter, Fairplay d`Urzy (Romain Congard), fifth place in the `GNT` at Vire behind Echo de Chanlecy (Tony le Beller), who won easily as an outsider at Feurs last time. From the basic mark, Goeland d`Haufor (Charles Julien Bigeon) is favourably in the running. The winner of the Prix du Quercy (Course B) is one of the favourites as well as the `GNT`-proven Eire d`Helios (Francois Lagadeuc) and Fragonard Delo (Eric Raffin).
