Schiergen and Suborics in the main races

Chantilly Saturday, 17 September: The Derby track in Chantilly today hosts three group races for two-year-old horses and three-year-old and older mares.

The Prix de Conde (2nd race/14.33 h/80,000 Euro/1800 m) will be decided with German participation thanks to Peter Schiergen`s Nasomo (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev). The two-year-old, who was victorious in Baden-Baden, will meet seven strong-form opponents, such as Victoria Road (Ryan Moore), who is prepared by Aidan O`Brien from Ireland. Most recently, he won a well-paid Listed race in Deauville against, among others, Duc de Morny (Stephane Pasquier), who had won twice earlier in his career. Precious Sea (Maxime Guyon) will be interesting as a double winner.

At 600 metres shorter distance, eleven horses will meet in the Prix Eclipse (6th race/17.00 h/80,000 Euro/1200 m). Here, Bodyman (Martin Seidl) from the quarters of Andreas Suborics will run. If the stallion runs as strongly as he did on his successful debut in Deauville, where his nearest rival followed four and a half lengths behind, he could stay on the winning track. Manhattan Jungle (Tony Piccone) cut a very good figure in fourth in the Prix Morny (Group 1) and should be able to compete at the front. Eddie`s Boy (Hollie Doyle) travels from England with strong form and could play a major role, as could Blue Bayou (Ioritz Mendizabal), Riski Chope (Ronan Thomas) and Alvina (Mickael Barzalona), all of whom have fresh wins.
