Prix d`Antibes with hopeful three-year-olds

Paris-Vincennes, Monday, 29 August: The new week begins on the Plateau de Gravelle with an exciting eight-race programme. The €61,000 Prix d`Antibes (5th race/16.10/2700m) appeals to three-year-old horses who have not exceeded a winning total of €55,000.

Jenny de Joudes (Alain Laurent) fits the bill perfectly. The mare earned good money last time in Enghien as second, before that she stayed within her possibilities in the Prix Ozo (Group 2) on rank five. Judith Reine (Matthieu Abribvard) exceeded expectations a good three lengths behind her as the giant outsider, after which nothing went right in four more appearances. Jasmin Precieux (Alexis Collette) and Just A Boy d`Alesa (Yoann Lebourgeois) fought out a `C` race here in June. The former ran in the Province afterwards and finished second to Jalimede. The Raimond protégé finished close behind the runners-up and ahead of Just You And Me (Gabriele Gelormini) in Enghien a month ago. Jingle Delo (Anthony Barrier) already tried his hand at classic level in the Prix Albert Viel (Group 1), but failed, as so often, because of a mistake. The stallion does not lack running ability. Jolie Star (Julien Dubois), who is used to winning, has a demanding task here, but with a further improvement she could stay on the road to success.
