British Armada with Naval Crown in the lead

Deauville, Sunday, 7 August: Great sport will be on offer on the Atlantic coast with the first start at 1.58 pm, with the Quinté, two Listed races, a Group III test and the Arc Prix de Maurice de Gheest at the highest Group level. 14 short-distance specialists will gather at the 1,300-metre start mark in this fourth test of the day at 15.55 hrs. The prize money amounts to 380,000 euros.

The German representative is Namos (Vladimir Panov) from Dominik Moser`s stable, but the stallion is not expected to have more than an outside chance. Especially the British seem to be well prepared. First and foremost Naval Crown (James William Doyle), who underlined this form by finishing second in the July Cup at Newmarket after scoring in Group I during Royal Ascot. Behind him, Perfect Power (Christophe Soumillon) did not have a chance in seventh, but this stallion also won a Group I exam at Royal Ascot. For the three-year-old Harry Three (Kieran Shoemark), this is his first appearance in a Group race. Most recently he has won three in a row, giving opponents no chance. Artorius (James Peter Spencer) seems to be locked into place money at the highest level and regularly runs to the front. Minzaal (James Vincent Crowley) enters as a fresh winner of a Group III race at Newbury. Accakaba (Maxime Guyon) last won a year ago, but the mare has collected some place money since then. Highfield Princess (Jason Hart), who has already won two races this season, should not be without a chance.
