Schiergen duo to finish

Saint-Cloud, Tuesday 21 June: To conclude today`s nine-race card at Saint-Cloud, the Handicap d`Etè (9th race/20.15pm/50,000 euros/1600m) is up for decision. Peter Schiergen is represented twice here by Principe (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev) and Quello (Sibylle Vogt), who is owned by Klaus Allofs and Gestüt Fährhof. The latter currently did not get beyond midfield in two similar assignments, but has given up weight and is in a more favourable position compared to El Manifico (Cristian Demuro) and L`Ienissei (Pierre Bazire), who finished ahead of him at Longchamp. Principe travels from Nantes with a fresh win and carries the top mark. Tornadic (Theo Bachelot) has two fresh wins to his name, which will now be put to the test in more challenging company. Marrakech Moon (Mickael Barzalona) easily defeated Tantpispoureux (Christophe Soumillon) in Chantilly, but a reversal of form is possible with the weight shift. The former also won in April ahead of Trobreizh (Fabrice Veron) and Sascha Smrczek`s Jack O`boy (Augustin Madamet), who finished a good second in Baden-Baden last time. At the same place, Darshano (Mickael Forest) from Carmen Bocskai`s quarters took a good fourth place.
