Copsi with chances of winning in Vichy

Vichy, Wednesday, 29 June: With the Prix Pierre Coulon (8th race/17.55 h/48,000 Euro/2150 m), a further assessment test for the Grand Prix du Conseil Municipal, which will take place here shortly, will be decided today in Vichy. The `Course-B` test is aimed at horses in the prize category up to 400,000 euros. Denicheur du Vif, Copsi (Dominik Locqueneux) and Digne et Droit (Anthony Barrier) last met in the Prix de New York (Course A). The former won after a battle ahead of Copsi, who followed a length behind, and whose strong performance fully confirmed his third place in the Critérium de Vitesse de Basse-Normandie (Group 2) ahead of Mister F Daag, who excelled in the Elitloppet. Denicheur du Vif ran before that in Vincennes, where the nine-year-old finished a good third in the Prix du Rouergue (Course B) ahead of Dreamer de Chenu (Louis Baudouin). In the Prix Vichy Celestins (Course A) Eddy du Vivier (Cedric Terry) was third with allowance ahead of Drop des Duriez (Serge Peltier). Tjacko Zaz (Jean-Michel Bazire) did not come around the course smoothly in that match, but should play a supporting role this time in the hands of the multiple French champion. Farah des Caux (David Thomain) is sufficiently recommended as winner of the Prix Pythia (Course B).
