Revenge in the Prix Guillaume de Bellaigue

Paris-Vincennes, Friday 20 May: There is another lucrative winning opportunity for older saddle trotters today at Vincennes in the Prix Guillaume de Bellaigue (4th race/20.50/90,000 Euro/2700m). First contender for victory is Clegs des Champs (David Thomain), although he recently lost out to Fire Cracker (Anthony Barrier) in the Prix Theophile Lallouet (Group 2).

Before that, in the Prix Henri Desmontils (Group 3), the ten-year-old threw all his class into the scale and defeated Fire Cracker as well as Carly (Mathieu Mottier), Chalimar de Guez (Jean-Yann Ricart) and Freeman de Houelle (Eric Raffin). The latter is still well remembered for his Group 1 success in the Prix de I`Ile de France over Etoile de Bruyere (Adrien Lamy), among others. Edition Gema (Gaelle Godard) was seen not far behind Clegs des Champs on 9 April and should no longer be underestimated.
