Amazing Grace and Alaskasonne in the Prix Corrida

Saint-Cloud, Tuesday, 24 May: Eight races are on the programme today in Saint-Cloud. The Prix Corrida (5th race/16.10 h/130,000 Euro/2100 m), which belongs to Group 2, gathers six mares at the start, two of them compete for German interests.

Markus Klug celebrated a great success in the Italian Derby only two days ago and now the successful coach is trying to score another big point with Alaskasonne (Andrasch Starke). The four-year-old announced herself as second in the Grand Prix Aufgalopp (Listed race) in Düsseldorf. Last year in the Prize of Diana (Group 1) she finished sixth ahead of Amazing Grace (Olivier Peslier), for whom Waldemar Hickst is responsible. Currently she ran in the Prix Allez France (Group 3) and surprised in third place behind Burgarita (Mickael Barzalona) and ahead of Rumi (Gerald Mosse). The latter won the Prix de la Nonette (Group 2), the Fabre mare finished a very good fourth in the Prix Vermeille (Group 1). Sweet Lady (Ioritz Mendizabal) celebrated her greatest success here in the Prix de Flore (Group 3). Coeur Macen (Christophe Soumillon) recently won a Listed race in Lyon.
