Visual inspection in Epsom

Epsom, Tuesday 19 April: The Derby track at Epsom hosts six exciting races today around the Blue Riband Trial (2nd race/15.20pm/60,000 pounds/2030m).

The Listed race for three-year-olds sees Charlie Appleby`s stable`s Nahanni (William Buick), winner twice in three appearances this year, in the role of favourite. Jockey Frankie Dettori, who won the fixture four times in a row from 2015 to 2018, hopes to add another entry to the winners` list through the impressively successful Mighty Ulysses from the John and Thady Gosden quarters at York. The Aidan O`Brien-trained United Nations (Ryan Moore) should have learned his lesson after his disappointing showing in the Autumn Stakes (Group 3) and can win, as can this year`s dual-purpose Grand Alliance (James Doyle) and Zain Sarinda (Jack Mitchell).
