All-Weather Finals Day in Newcastle

Newcastle, Friday 15 April: The All-Weather Championships finals will be held today at Newcastle`s sand track. Race prizes of one million pounds across seven races promise great sport. Many track specialists are on show, such as My Oberon (Tom Marquand), running in the All-Weather Mile Championships (2nd race/15.00pm/150,000 pounds/1609m), who was sixth in the Dubai Turf last time.

In the Sprint (3rd race/15.35/150,000 pounds/1200m), Eitilaab (David Egan) is looking to strike again after his strong win at Kempton, but the currently successful Spycatcher (Clifford Lee) and Volatile Analyst (Callum Rodriguez) are also conceivably well ahead.

In the 3 Year Old All-Weather Championships (4th race/16.10pm/150,000 pounds/1200m), El Caballo (Clifford Lee) and Tiber Flow (Tom Marquand), double winners this year, will meet. Space Cowboy (Hollie Doyle), who was showing here before his break, will not give the first two anything.

The fillies are under order in the All-Weather Fillies and Mares (5th race/16.45pm/150,000 pounds/1400m). Fauvette (David Probert), Arousing (Tom Marquand) and Highfield Princess (Jason Hart) have already battled to victory at Chelmsford. Internationalangel (Hollie Doyle) impressed here in February but finished well behind Highfield Princess recently.

In addition, the All-Weather Marathon and the Middle Distance Championships are still to be decided.
