rest of Cheltenham

Willie Mullins won the first two races yesterday and hopes to repeat the feat today. In the opening Neptune Novices Hurdle at 14.30 CET he saddles Nichols Canyon (Walsh) and Outlander (Bryan Cooper), both of whom hold good chances; however this is an open race and we also respect the Monsun gelding Parlour Games (John Ferguson/ McCoy) and Windsor Park (Dermot Weld/ Davy Russell), behind the Mullins horses last time but whose trainer knows how to win at these big meetings. In the RSA Chase at 15.05 Don Poli (Mullins/ Cooper) looks the obvious favourite, but we also like Kings Palace (David Pipe/ Tom Scudamore), who has already won 4 times at this track..The other Grade One is the Champion Bumper that closes proceedings at 18.15; the Irish, and in particular Mullins, have an excellent record here, but the trainer now saddles no fewer than 7 runners; he may know which is the best of them, but we certainly don´t! Perhaps it is time for a British winner and both Moon Racer (Pipe/ Scu) and Wait for Me (Hobbs/ Johnson) are strongly fancied after easily winning first time.

The 3 handicaps, all with huge fields, look fiendishly difficult, but we like the two French runners in the Cross Country at 17.00, while Dell´Arca (Pipe / Scu) at 15.40 and Baron Alco (Gary and Jamie Moore) at 17.40 are our other fancies.
