Exeter and Huntingdon

as usual for a Tuesday, very moderate sport today. We have jumping from Exeter and Huntingdon as well as a poor all-weather card at Southwell. AP McCoy continues his farewell tour and is in action today at Huntingdon, where he has 3 rides, all with chances: Southfield Royale for Neil Mulholland at 15.10 CET, Flash Crash for Jim Best at 15.45 and A Little Bit Dusty for Conor Dore at 16.50. However our best bet here is Perfect Summer at 17.55; trained at Newmarket by Lady Cecil, and ridden by Jack Quinlan, he runs in the colours of Hoppegarten boss Gerhard Schöningh. Lady Cecil has never yet had a winner over jumps but that could change today as this one made a very promising debut here and this longer trip should be no problem.

There are only 5 runners in the 3 mile handicap chase at Exeter at 16.40, but it is still a wide open event. On Trend (Nick Gifford/ Tom Cannon) is his trainers only runner of the day; he won over this CD a year ago, and although his form this season has been poor, the form of that race should be good enough. Another one here who is his trainer´s only runner is Celestino (Paul Nicholls/ Sam Twiston-Davies) at 17.45. We don´t like backing maidens in handicaps, nor do we like 4yo´s racing against older horses over hurdles, but we shall make an exception here, as this one ran really well in a much stronger race at Newbury last time and a repetition of that form would certainly suffice here.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Gabriella Rose - Letter Exit - Iora Glas
2. Race: Vendredi Trois - Changeofluck - Phare Isle
3. Race: That`S The Deal - Ballyvoneen - Ultimatum Du Roy
4. Race: Mr Lando - Myboyalfie - Clock On Tom
5. Race: Bob Will - Roparta Avenue - Flichity
6. Race: Maypole Lass - Susie Sheep - Altesse De Guye
