small fields today

the Newmarket July Meeting starts tomorrow with a feast of top class racing, but today´s races are very low level, and mainly with small fields as well. There are only 5 runners in the 9 furlongs handicap at Yarmouth at 17.10 CET, which as a class 3 handicap is the "best" race of the day in the U.K. It should mainly concern top-weight Genius Boy (James Tate/ Kieren Fallon) who has won jhis last 3 races and can probably improve still further and the well-bred Enobled (Sir Michael Stoute/ Ryan Moore), who also looks as if he can leave this handicap rating well behind. It is quite an open contest. but at these weights we prefer Enobled.
The most interesting racing this evening comes from Ireland, and the maiden races at Naas are possibly not good betting races but are cetainly of interest for the future, with well-bred nwcomers from top stables entered. The 2yo race over 7 furlongs at 20.30 has two Aidan O´Brien debutants at the start, as well as one each from John Oxx and Ger Lyons, all regarded as very hopeful sorts. This is of course guesswork, but possibly O´Brien´s St. Patrick´s Day could be the one. Half an hour later, 3yo maiden fillies run over a mile. O´Brien has a runner here too, but possibly Fire Stone (David Wachman/ Wayne Lordan), who runs in the same colours and made a very promising debut at Leopardstown last month, can be preferred. On the form shown so far, Sea Coast (Mike Halford/ Shane Foley) and Mulieata (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) could also be dangerous, but the latter has already run 10 times without winning, so possibly needs to race in a lower grade.

Betting forecast at Naas:
1. Race: Sexy Legs - Puck Fair - Toogoodtobetrue
2. Race: Bilderberg - Colour Blue - Calibrate
3. Race: Ucanchoose - Count Of Carabass - The Dancing Lord
4. Race: Sacrificial - St Patrick`s Day - Torrey Pines
5. Race: Sea Coast - Muileata - Fire Stone
6. Race: Muscle Beach - Vector Force - Derulo
7. Race: Laviniad - Panama Hat - Truly Delightful
