Listed race in Ireland this evening

The best race today again comes from Ireland - the listed event for fillies and mares over 6 furlongs at 20.30 this evening at Naas. Tobann (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning) has the best recent form, having won a Group Three last time, but she has to concede weight as a result. The 3yo´s Seas of Wells (John Oxx/ Declan McDonogh) and Sparrow (Aidan and Joseph O´Brien) look dangerous, while Gathering Power (Eddie Lynam/ Fergal Lynch) represents the owner and trainer who have been winning all the top sprints this year with Sole Power and Slade Power. However our selection is English raider Minalisa (Rae Guest/ Fran Berry), who has solid listed form to her credit and was only beaten a head in this last year.

The best of the 5 U.K. cards is also in the evening, at Sandown, where there is a small but select field for the 7 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 20.45.Several of these could be running in black type races later on, and this goes especially for our selection, the well-bred Provenance (Sir Michael Stoute/ Ryan Moore).

At Worcester, the novice hurdle at 16.10 sees Nathans Pride (Alan Johns) set to give lumps of weight away, as he has already won 2 bumpers and 3 times over hurdles, including this CD, At these weights we fancy debutant Chesterfield (John Ferguson/ Tony McCoy), quite useful on the flat for Godolphin, can put an end to his winning run.
