today´s N.H. racing

once again we have soft to heavy ground at today´s two N.H. meetings in the U.K. and a very low standard of racing throughout. Tony McCoy oontinues his Yorkshire tour at Catterick today and rides Irish raider Rare Legend for Shark Hanlon in the opening novice hurdle for stayers at 14.10 CET. He is no star, but could win this in receipt of 14 lbs from the obvious favouite The Last Samuri (Donald McCain/ Jason Maguire).McCoy teams up with Jonjo O´Neill on Holywell at 15.10 and Ubaldo des Menhies half an hour later, and both of these also have decent prospects. A runner we like from a much smaller stable is Bocamix (Andy Crook/ John KIngton), who has bottom weight in the handicap chase at 16.15; he ran well over this CD a fortnight ago, and with both the main dangers upped 13 lbs for winning their last two races, could score off his light weight here.
Most of the other leading jockeys are at Southwell, and Noel Fehily could star here, as we like his prospects on Charlie Longsdon´s Long Lunch at 14.50 and Glowinginthedark at 16.25, and Harry Fry´s Don Pooleoni at 16.20.
There is an all-hurdles card in Fairyhouse in Ireland, with large fields but very short on quality; ex-German Rich Prince (Mervyn Torrens/ Mark Darcy) could run well at a big price in the maiden hurdle at 15.05.
