Top N.H. action

While the flat fizzles out at Doncaster, the N.H. season is getting into top gear and we have good jumping cards today, especially at Sandown and Wincanton in England and Naas in Ireland. Paul Nicholls is usually the trainer to follow at Wincanton, his local track, and we expect him to win the three top races there today. Nick Scholfield partners Wonderful Charm in the Grade Two novice chase at 16.15 CET, while Sam Twiston-Davies is on board Far West in the Grade Two hurdle at 15.05 and Poungach in the listed handicap chase at 15.40. Most of the top jockeys are at Sandown where Barry Geraghty can land a double for Nicky Henderson on Grandouet, making his chasing debut at 14.20, and ex-French Kentucky Hyden in the 3yo hurdle at 14.55. The latter´s Auteuil form reads very well in the context of this race. Another ex-French runner, and also a potential star, is Diakali (Willie Mullins/ Ruby Walsh), who runs in the Grade Three hurdle at 13.50 at Naas.
