Rest of Newmarket

The main supporting event is the Group Two Superlative Stakes for 2yo´s over 7 furlongs at 15.40 CET. Most of these are running for the first time over this trip, and with five unbeaten juveniles in the field it is quite a puzzle for punters. Good Old Boy Lukey (Richard Fahey/ Ryan Moore) is the only one to have won twice, but this opposition looks much stronger, and we prefer fellow Yorkshireman Somewhat (Mark Johnston/ Johnny Murtagh), slightly disappointing at Royal Ascot, but the stable is in much better form now. Washaar (Richard Hannon/ Dane O´Neill) looks a big danger. The Bunbury Cup, a 7 furlongs handicap with 20 runners at 16.15, is the big betting race here. Obviously it is wide open and our 3 against the field are Irish challenger Burn the Boats (Ger Lyons/ Gary Carroll), Brae Hill (Fahey/ Christophe Soumillon) and Dance and Dance (Ed Vaughan/ Ryan Moore). We also take 3 against the field in the opening mile handicap for 3yo´s - Jammy Guest (George Margarson/ Tom Queally), Muharrib (Saeed bin Suroor/ Mickael Barzalona) and Defendant (Sir Michael Stoute/ Ryan Moore).
