6 meetings today

evening racing is now getting serious and Windsor stages its first of many Monday evenings tonight. Most of the top jockeys will be riding there, many of them having come on from the afternoon racing on the all-weather at Kempton. It would be no huge surprise to see Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore win 3yo maidens at both tracks with Evangelist at 16.50 CET (Kempton) and Persepolis at 20.00 (Windsor). Another jockey we think could win at both meetings is William Buick, who partners John Gosden´s top-weight Bright Strike in the 3yo handicap over 7 furlongs at 17.20 (Kempton) and the lightly-raced Nocturn in the 6 furlongs handicap at 19.30 (Windsor).
The best race in the afternoon is also a 6 furlongs handicap- this time at 16.10 at Pontefract. This is a very tricky race with 14 runners, and our fancy York Glory (Kevin Ryan/ Neil Callan) is drawn 14. He will probably have to come down the stands rail and we hope that this will work to his advantage.
Ryan is another trainer who could score at two tracks today, as we also like his hurdler Flaming Arrow (Brian Toomey) at 16.00 at Hexham. He is better known as a flat trainer, but has a good strike rate with his few runners over sticks. Our each-way bet at Hexham is Pena Dorada (Lucinda Russell/ Graham Watters) in the handicap hurdle at 17.00; he is down to a very favourable rating and has a good record at this track.
There is also jumps racing at Cork this evening, and Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh can warm up for what could be a very profitable Punchestown Festival (starts tomorrow) by taking the beginners chase at 18.10 with Turban and the maiden hurdle at 20.10 with Dougal Philps.

Betting forecast Cork:
1. Race: Turban - Darwins Fox - Ballyadam Approach
2. Race: William Wordsworth - Torremuelle - Wrong Turn
3. Race: Teochew - Get Off The Stage - Girl In Blue
4. Race: Whiskey And Rye - Lughnasa - Truckin All Night
5. Race: Dougal Philps - Rightville Boy - Spot The Pro
6. Race: Another Charm - Might Be Magic - Way Up In The Air
7. Race: Aerlite Supreme - Lettermacaward - The Pounds
