Flooding now the problem

Both today´s jumps meetings in the U.K. have been called off and so has tomorrow´s Plumpton meeting. With the big thaw now coming, flooding rather than frost is the problem and more abandonments in the next few days are likely. The only racing today in the U.K. is the additional "jumpers bumpers" fixture at the unlikely venue of Wolverhampton. However there is a very strong card at Leopardstown in Ireland, featuring the Irish Champion Hurdle (see next story).
