Once again. very low-level racing at today´s N.H. fixtures at Lingfield and Ffos Las and on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. At the last-named track we think that top-weight Atlantis Crossing (Roger Ingram/ Adam Kirby) can take the 7 furlongs handicap at 17.30 CET after running a good race over this CD last week. Most of the top jockeys are at Ffos Las and Tony McCoy has several decent chances, notably Jonjo O´Neill´s Theatre Evening in the opening maiden hurdle at 14.10. This one fell at the last in an Irish point-to-point 9 months ago and was afterwards sold for 175,000 euros (!) to his present connections. Tom Scudamore also has some good rides and he can win the handicap chase at 16.50 for his brother Michael on oldtimer Rash Moment. Another bottom-weight that could score is Lucky Prince (Brian Eckley/ Gary Derwin) in the handicap hurdle at 16.15; he has gone up 5 lbs for winning here at Christmas, and if he stays the extra half mile, can score again in this feeble compa ny.
The biggest field of the day is the handicap hurdle at 15.00 at Lingfield with 15 runners. Althoiugh his form figures do not read well, we like Rosoff (Laura Mongan/ Nathan Adams) here; he was not beaten far when 6th in a much more competitive race at Plumpton last time and has previously won here with this jockey aboard. Noel Fehily has a couple of interesting rides here - on Charlie Mann´s ex-German King Arthur at 14.30 and on Charlie Longsdon´s ex-French Orange Nassau one hour later.
