Crazy Saturday!

The obsession of leading racecourses to stage all their best races on a Saturday reaches new heights of absurdity today, when there are Group One races at Haydock and at Leopardstown, as well as strong cards at Ascot and Kempton. This also puts pressure on the top jockeys, but William Buick and Frankie Dettori seem to have solved that problem by taking a helicopter after Haydock´s Sprint Cup (in which Frankie´s Soul is a non-runner) to fly to Leopardstown. The weather is fine and warm all over Western Europe and the going is firming up everywhere. This could be particularly significant at Leopardstown, as many of the runners will not have experienced these conditions following the wettest ever summer there.
