Dominik Moser again at York?

Dominik Moser pulled off quite a coup with Gracia Directa yesterday at York and now tries again with Josephine Blanche (Liam Keniry) in the listed race over 5 furlongs at 16.35 CET. Her form was given a boost by her stable companion yesterday, to whom she was third last time at Hoppegarten, but this opposition looks far stronger and this could well be a group race. Indeed Masamah (Kevin Ryan/ Kieren Fallon), who won this last year, and Prohibit (Robert Cowell/ Neil Callan) both ran in last year´s Prix de l´Abbaye. Caledonian Lady (Jo Hughes/ Hayley Turner) won a Group Three over this trip at Sandown last week and looks a big threat, while the speedy Hamish McGonagall (Tom Easterby/ David Allan), third last ysar and from an in-form stable, is another danger. We would like to see Josephine Blanche run well, but she needs to show tremendous improvement to figure here.

The big race here is the John Smith´ s Cup, a 10 furlongs handicap at 16.00. With 20 runners this looks very difficult, but lightly-raced Mijhaar (Roger Varian( Neil Callan) is a clear favourite after his good performance at Royal Ascot. Others to consider are Mid Mon Lady (Sir Mark Prescott/ Tom Eaves), who runs here in preference to a listed race in Germany, Area Fifty One (Richard Fahey/ Shane B. Kelly) and Media Hype (Elaine Burke/ Graham Gibbons). Prince of Johanne (Tom Tate/ Adam Beschizza) won the Royal Hunt Cup last time, but we are not sure he will get the extra diusdtance today.

1. Race: Ginger Jack - Anderiego - Toto Skyllachy
2. Race: Suraj - High Jinx - Mount Athos
3. Race: Mijhaar - Area Fifty One - Media Hype
