3 N.H. meetings today

The remaining 6 cards are less exciting, and three meetings stage jumps racing. In ireland there is an all-hurdles card at Ballinrobe, and if the going is still heavy, we suggest a small each-way bet at 21.25 CET on German-bred Muskatsturm, who is 13 years old but still good enough in this grade and a CD winner this year. In the U.K., Nicky Henderson could have winners at both Southwell this afternoon and Bangor this evening. At the latter meeting he saddles Forgotten Voice (Tony McCoy) in the novice hurdle at 21.45. The 7yo has been off the track for two years, but he was a Royal Ascot winner on the flat and also group-placed. He used to be trained by Jeremy Noseda, as was Sud Pacifique (Donald McCain/ Jason Maguire), who looks another nice hurdling prospect and is the main danger.

At Southwell, Henderson runs Dubai Crest (David Bass) under top weight oin the handicap hurdle at 17.10 and debutant Cevaro (Andrew Tinkler) in the bumper an hour later, and both should go nwell. The McCain/ Maguire team are also strongly represented here, and Cuban Piece at 16.10 and Mulligans Man at 16.40 could both complete a summer hat-trick.

The flat tracing in the U.K. today is all at a vetry low level, and there are some very small fields at Ffos Las. The moist interesting event could be the maiden race for fillies at 15.50 at Yarmouth, with entries from some top stables, such as If So (James Fanshawe/ Mikael Barzalona), Ihtifal (Saeed bin Suroor/ Silvestre de Sousa) or Palmette (John Gosden/ William Buick), all of whom have shown form which suggests that they will not stay maidens for long. The Godolphin filly is our tentative suggestion.

Once again there are plenty of non-runners and punters are advised to check before placing their bets.
