two listed races today, both for fillies and mares and both over almost the same distance - poor planning! In the U.K. the race is over ten furlongs at 17.05 CET at Salisbury. Seta (Luca Cumani/ Kieren Fallon) is the form choice here but has top-weight and has also never run over this trip. Last time out she finished down the field at Royal Ascot in company with Anna Salai (Mahmood al Zarooni/ Frankie Dettori). There could be little in it today, while Primavere (Roger Charlton/ Hayley Turner) also has possibilities.
In Ireland, the race at Gowran Park at 21.10 this evening is over just 100 yards shorter. Top-rated here is Kissable (Kevin Prendergast/ Declan McDonogh), but she has been off the track since last August. Under the circumstances we prefer Bible Belt (Jessica Harrington/ Shane Foley), who started 2011 in fine style. Sapphire (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smullen) looks next best.
