Rain everywhere and Uttoxeter abandoned

There was overnight rain in almost all parts of the U.K. and the going will be softer than officially forecast at all meetings. Uttoxeter is flooded in places and racing there (in any case the weakest card of the day) has been abandoned. The ground will be heavy at Haydock and also at the Irish meeting at Gowran Park.
