Today`s racing in the UK and Ireland

Best race of the day is the Grade Two Kinloch Brae Chase over 2 1/2 miles at 16.20 CET in Thurles (Ireland). This looks quite open, but Glencove Marina (Eoin Griffin/ Barry Geraghty) and J´ y Vole (Willie Mullins/ Paul Townend), 4th and 6th respectively in the Lexus Chase at Christmas will probably have to battle it out with Jessica Harrington´ s Roberto Goldback (Robbie Power). For Bill (M Winters/Davy Russell) was a prolific winner over hurdles and has taken well to fences; she can take the Grade Three mares novice chase half an hour later, at the main expense of Willie Mullins´ two runners Blazing Tempo (Townend) and Morning Supreme (nephew Emmet Mullins).

Paul Nicholls has had rather a disappointing month, but can saddle winners at both British N.H. meetings today. He can take the novice chas at 16.50 at Warwick with the promising The Minack (Nick Scholfield) and both divisions of the novice hurdle at Ffos Las with Rangitoto (Sam Thomas) at 14.50 and Don´r Turn Bach (Harry Skelton) at 15.25. Nicky Henderson, on the other hand, is in amazing form and should win the mares novice chase here at 16.00 with Kerada (Andrew Tinkler).
