All-weather racing this evening

There is racing on the all-weather at Dundalk (Ireland) and Wolverhampton this evening, with the Irish track having maximum fields (14) in almost all races. Veteran trainer Kevin Prendergast and his stable jockey Declan McDonogh look the team to follow and they have chances in the two divisions of the 2yo maiden at 19.00 CET and 19.30 with Giants Serapis and Brown Butterfly respectively, while their Sahaayeb can take the 3yo maiden half an hour later. Aidan O´Brien has also entered some interesting runners, and Greatwallofchina, with his son Joseph in the saddle, can win the 6 furlongs handicap at 21.00

The best race at Wolverhampton is the 1 1/2 mile handicap t 20.15, in which Tony Martin´s Pires (Kieren Fallon) is almost certain to start a warm favourite after running on strongly to finish 3rd of 35 in the Cambridgeshire. He is now moving up in trip, while top-weight Mystery Star (Mark Tompkins/ Tom Queally), a winner here last time over further, is coming down but still looks a big danger, as does bottom-weight Tominator (Reg Hollinshead/ Graham Gibbons), the only 3yo in the field. David Nicholls and Ian Mongan had a double here last night and can score again with the nastily-named Opus Dei in the 6 furlongs at 19.15.
