All-weather racing today

All-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Wolverhampton. The Lingfield card is by far the better, with two listed races for fillies, and looks like being another Godolphin bonanza. The stable won the three feature races a year ago and can repeat the feat today. Most interesting runner is ex-German Baila Me (Frankie Dettori), who goes for a repeat win in the fillies race over 1 mile 5 furlongs at 16.40 CET.

She has not run for almost a year but we expect her to win once again from Rosika (Sir Michael Stoute/ Ryan Moore), who had no chance here a year ago but ran a great race in the Ebor last time out. Aspectoflove, in the mile race at 16.10 should be another winner for the Saeed bin Suroor/ Dettori combination, and we also expect them to take the handicap at 15.40 with lightly-raced Quick Wit, a very easy winner of his only 2010 start.

The card at Wolverhampton is less exciting, but there could be another winner for Godolphin in Rumn (Saeed bin Suroor/ Daragh O´Donohoe), another German-bred who runs in the 2yo fillies maiden at 20.50. The Monsun filly was well beaten on both her starts so far, but tonight´s opposition is much weaker. Otherwise the main interest will be centred on the ongoing battle for the jockeys championship between Paul Hanagan and Richard Hughes. Both have 6 rides here and we expect Hanagan to maintain his lead , currently 8.
