N.H. racing at Bangor and Southwell this evening

Welsh trainer Evan Williams always does well in the summer and he has excellent chances this evening of saddling winners at both tracks. At Bangor he runs Beyond (Tony McCoy) in the first 3yo hurdle race of the year at 19.50 CET. Obviously there is no form to go on, but Beyond was just about the best of these on the flat, winning twice for Jeremy Noseda, and with the champion jockey aboard he can start off a successful evening for the stable, who can follow up with Ajman (Donal Dahy) in the handicap hurdle at 20.20. Tzora (Philip Hobbs/ Richard Johnson) was a non-runner yesterday in order to go for this easier event, but he has to concede a lot of weight to Ajman, who has already won twice this season, and this is probably beyond him; Paul Nicholls´ Marc Aurele (Ryan Mahon), also a recent winner, looks next best.

Evan Williams sends his usual jockey Paul Moloney to Southwell for four rides and it is by no means inconceivable that all four could score. Mutual Respect in the 3 1/4 mile handicap chase at 19.05, Cannon Fire (an easy winner at Worcester on Sunday) in the handicap hurdle an hour later, Oursininlaw in the novice hurdle at 20.35 and top-weight Silverburn in the handicap hurdle at 21.35 are the stable´s runners, and it will be disappointing if they travel home without a couple of winners.
