German runners in France today

Flat racing in France today at Longchamp and Lion d´Angers, and we expect some more German-trained winners. At Longchamp, Mario Hofer´s Royal Pepper (Gerald Mosse´) can start the ball rolling in the opening tiercé handicap over 2000 metres at 13.35, although this is as always a very difficult race. In the following race at 14.05, race over 2000 metres for 3yo maiden fillies, Werner Baltromei saddles two runners:

Tunis (Davy Bonilla) and Königstreue (Dominique Boeuf), with clear preference for the latter. In the equivalent race for colts half an hour later Baltromei and Boeuf are represented by Teka Maki, while the jockey also partners Don´t Rebel for Waldemar Hickst in the mile race for 3yo´s at 15.05. Uwe Ostmann sends Valdino for the 3000 metres seller at 16.40 with top young jockey Maxime Guyon aboard, while Grazilla (Andreas Trybuhl/ Christophe Lemaire) and Naxon (Baltromei/ Boeuf) both run in the second division of the 2000 metres handicap at 17.10. In our opinion, Königstreue and Don´t Rebel have the best chances.

Hickst also has chances of winning the top race at Lion d´Angers, the listed Prix Urban Sea for 4yo and older fillies and mares at 15.20 with Rubiana (Gaetan Masure), who won last time in France by half a length from Fleur Enchantée, who looks one of the main dangers again, with Catalina Sunrise another threat. She is the only German runner at this meeting,
