German runners in France today

Plenty of German runners this afternoon at Maisons-Laffitte, where the main event is the Prix Hampton, a listed race over 1000 metres at 15.35. A large field, but Mood Music (Mario Hofer/ Maxime Guyon), who has run several good races in France over this trip, must have a good chance in this company. Best Joking (Werner Hefter/ Johan Victoire) is very speedy and could also run into the money.

Hofer also runs Sexxan (Guyon) in the race for 3yo debutants at 14.05 and Three French Hens (Dominique Boeuf) in the conditions race over a mile for 4yo´s at 16.35. Other German-trained runners here are Titus Claudius (Werner Baltromei/ Boeuf) in a 2400 metres conditions race for 3yo´s at 14.35, Mayflair (Hefter/ Mikael Barzalona) - who won at 42-1 in Strasbourg last time- in the fillies´equivalent race at 15.05, and Rostov (Erturk Kurdu/ Guyon) in a 3yo mile handicap at 17.05. All of these could run well, but in our view Mood Music has the best chance of winning.
