Nottingham, Musselburgh and Brighton

Once again, pretty poor fare this afternoon and only one of the 20 races at these 3 fixtures is better than class 5 - and that is the class 4 handicap for 3yo fillies at 17.00 CET at Nottingham. This is quite a tricky race although Godolphin´s Hudoo (Saeed bin Suroor/ Frankie Dettori) is quite possibly much better than suggested by the form of her only start - a narrow win on the all-weather last October- would suggest.

Babycakes (Michael Bell/ Hayley Turner), also a Wolverhampton winner last time, and Wulfrida (James Fanshawe/ Eddie Ahern), runner-up at Beverley, are the main dangers. Godolphin usually do well at this track and can also take the 2yo maiden at 15.30 with well-bred debutant Roayh.

At Brighton Decency (Ed Dunlop/ George Baker) can defy top-weight in the 3yo handicap at 17.20. He seems much improved this year, and after winning at Kempton was only beaten a short head last time at Folkestone. Those were not great races, but the opposition does not look strong.

At Musselburgh, 10yo Fremen, who has been well-placed by Dandy Nicholls to win all his 4 races this year, can complete a five-timer in the 9 furlongs seller at 15.10, with the trainer´s son Adrian in the saddle. He has to concede weoght all round, but should have plenty in hand. The 7 furlongs handicap at 16.40 looks quite open. Nufoudh (Tracy Waggott/ Freddie Tylicki) was a CD winner last time from Jonny Lesters Hair (Tim Easterby/ Graham Gibbons), but there should not be much between them at the revised weights.
