Three classic trials at Longchamp

Three Group Three races, all for 3yo´s, are the main events at Longchamp this afternoon and should supply some clues to the French classics. The Prix de Fontainebleau at 14.35 and the Prix de la Grotte at 15.40, for colts and fillies respectively, are both over a mile and could go to the team of the Aga Khan, trainer Alain de Royer-Dupré and jockey Gerald Mossé. Their candidate in the former event is Siyouni, winner of the Prix Lagardere on Arc day lst October, and the main dangers are Gestüt Ammerland´s Lope de Vega (André Fabre/ Maxime Guyon) and the Niarchos-owned Makani (Jonathan Pease/ Christophe Lemaire), while in the latter Rosanara, also a Group One winner on Arc day, should be able to defeat Robert Collet´s Dolled Up (Ioritz Mendizibal).

The Aga Khan also has chance of winning the Prix la Force over 2000 metres at 16.10 with the unbeaten Darizi (Jean-Claude Rouget/ Mossé), but this looks less easy; Godolphin´s Simon de Montfort (Fabre/ Mikael Barzalona). War Monger (Elie Lellouche/ Antony Crastus) and English raider Circumvent (Paul Cole/ Mendizibal) all look threatening.
