Hereford only surviving jumps meeting today

The wet and windy weather continues in the UK and Irland and today´s N.H. meetings at Exeter and Gowran Park have been abandoned, while tomorrow´s fixture at Wincanton and Saturday´s at Newton Abbot are also under threat. This leaves Hereford´s meeting as the only jumps racing today. The novice hurdle at 15.40 CET should go to Shakalakaboomboom (Nicky Henderson/ Tony McCoy), who can make the most of the weight he receives from Oscar Gogo (Evan and Christian Williams), who won on heavy ground at Chepstow last time. German-bred Magusta (Jamie Snowden/ Daryl Jacob) should certainly handle the ground and could run into a place at a big price; he has shown little in 3 starts so far but could pick up a small race in time.

A German-bred with a much better chance is Classic Dream (Sean Curran/ Antony Freeman), who makes his debut over fences in the novice chase at 16.40. He also handles the ground well and in unbeaten in two starts over hurdles here. The obvious danger is top-weight I have Dreamed (Gary and Jamie Moore), while Cracboumwiz /Alan King/ Williams) would also have prospects, but his stable remains under a cloud.
