German runners at Deauville

Deauville stages a fibregrass meeting today with German-trained runners in 3 races. Lasse (Pavel Vovcenko/ Mikael Barzalona) tries to recover Cagnes sur mer losses in the tiercé handicap over 1900 metres at 13.35. at his best he would have a chance at this level, but he is badly drawn /17 of 18) and the opposition as always is tough. Andreas Löwe has two runners later on, Slona (Antony Crastus) in the 1500 metres claimer at 16.10 and Ocareion (Carina Fey) in the claimer over the same trip for lady jockeys half an hour later, in which New Fan (Sara Weis/ Steffi Hofer) is also engaged. New Fan is better than claiming class, but this distance stretches him and at these weights we prefer the Löwe runner.
