More German chances at Cagnes

The Cagnes sur mer meering continues today with German-trained runners in 4 of the 7 races. In the opening tiercé handicap over 2000 metres, Royal Pepper (Mario Hofer/ Gaetan Masure), Lasse (Pavel Vovcenko/ Davy Bonilla) and Naxon (Werner Balromei) are all engaged, but this race looks very difficult. Part of Pentire (Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) runs in the mile claimer for 4yo´s at 15.05, while another claimer for older horses over the same trip at 16.10 sees Daudet (Hans Blume/ Romain Perruchot), Manaba (Baltromei/ Boeuf) and Noblement (Hofer/ Mongil) all entered. These races are all on the fibresand track, but the 2 mile conditions race at 15.40 in which Blue Citadel (Hofer/ Boeuf) runs, is on grass. The Germans, and especially Baltromei, have made a great start to the meeting and more winners are possible today; in our view Daudet has the best chance of these.
