France today

the bad weather has reached the French Riviera, but there should be no problems with today´s jumps meeting at Cagnes-sur-mer, featuring the Grand Príx de la Ville de Nice at 14.20, their most important race over jumps. This Group Three chase over 4600 metres has 14 runners and looks very open. Le Plessis (Y. Fertillet/ Hubert Terrien) won the main trial narrowly from Mercelin (Serge and Tony Foucher) and both should get involved again, but we fancy top-weight Palmier (Philip Carberry), one of 3 FM Cottin runners.
Also in France, Vincennes is gearing up for its big Amerique meeting at the end of the month. Today´s big race is a Grade Two monté over 2850 metres at 14.35, which might go to Joel Hallais´ Or de Jade (David Thomain).
